Mion-Ghaeltacht na gCloch Liath

Sure agus begorrah, there’ll be lots to talk about at the new weekly Irish language coffee morning up at The Pigeon House.

Or Teach na gColún, to be more precise.

Happening every Wednesday, at 11am, the good news is this is just the sort of casual club to keep the Irish language alive.

The bad news is, the likes of Alice O’Donnell, Keith Scanlon and Paddy Holohan will most likely be there.

If you feel like joining in the Cupán agus Caint, hey, they have a Facebook group too.

So, if you want to make your father’s father’s father proud – and get the early lowdown on some SuperValu bargains – see you there…

Well done to Alice O’Donnell for starting this group. This social, casual approach to using our language will appeal to many people. Maith thú. Alice.
