There are lots of good reasons not to like Rob Lawless.
He’s good-looking, for one. And he’s great at golf. And people. And helping others.
And he’s got a young son who’s even better-looking than his dad, and can, at the age of two, already explain Einstein’s Theory Of Relativity to you, using Lego, crayons, spaghetti and a full tub of peanut butter.
I blame the parents. In both cases.
The trouble with trying not to like Rob Lawless is that he’s so f**kin’ likeable. Nothing seems the faze the feck. Ever.
No matter what amount of dumb luck or stupid misfortune should hit the fan, there’s Rob, chin up, smiling that big Rob Lawless smile, and just getting on with making the most of another day.
And it’s that attitude that has Rob’s feet back on the green this week, after his long-term position went down with Glen Of The Downs golf club’s recent collapse. Having just landed a new position over at Druid’s Glen, Rob is celebrating in-between learning some new dance moves for his big Strictly showdown on Saturday, May 13th. Rob will actually be competing against his equally adorable sister, Elaine, the two of them happy to become dancing fools for the night in aid of St Joseph’s Shankill and in honour of their late father, Ed Lawless.
See what we mean about this guy? Feckin’ handsome, happy, caring, sharing, golfing, goofing, fun-lovin’, child prodigy-rearin’ do-gooder.
The bollox.
