Here’s the lowdown..

Volunteer Musical Director needed for Musical Memories, a weekly music/singing session for people with dementia and their care partner.

Happening in Greystones every Friday, the time is 11.30am to 12.30pm, and the role involves delivering a music programme whilst building relationshipos with clients based on mutual respect, dignity and support.

The role will involve the person leading, supporting and engaging the group music for an hour once a week. Some knowledge or experience of music therapy or of directing/leading music session would be needed, along with some understanding of dementia, plus an interest in helping people have access to life-affirming music.
