Over €6.5 million For Wicklow Carers

Today, Wicklow Fine Gael Minister Simon Harris has confirmed that the Government has approved a payment of the Carer’s Support Grant which totals at €1,850 in recognition of the key roles carers play every day.

Minister Harris said, “I am delighted today to confirm that the Carer’s Support Grant will be paid to three-thousand five hundred and seventy-seven carers in County Wicklow.

“This grant totals at €1,850 and will go a long way to support those who work so hard to support the people most in need. The Carer’s Support Grant will be paid automatically to all recipients of the Carer’s Allowance, Carer’s Benefit, and Domiciliary Care Allowance payments.

“The contribution carers make to our communities is so important, and I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the work they do”.
