Hey, Mister, Where’s Our Frickin’ Raft…?!
May 22, 2019

Their aim is true and simple – Squirrel’s Scramble want to inspire a love for the great outdoors.

And when their outdoors is situated in the lush woodlands surrounding Killruddery House, well, how can they not be great…?

Through June, July and August, the Pascoe Lang gang are running their ProActive Kids Summer Camps, each one lasting five full days, from 8.30am to 5.30pm. And each one fully booked, and now with a waiting list.

Over to the Squirrel squad..

We are really looking forward to seeing you and your children at our summer camps. We hope they have a very enjoyable week, make new friends and wonderful memories, as well as learn some new outdoor activities.
The camp runs Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm, and is based four days on the grounds of Killruddery Estate and one day at Dalkey Quarry. We will keep you informed as to which day the climbing session will be, closer to the time.
Dropping-off times are from 8.30am to 9.30am, collection times are 4.30pm to 5.30pm, located at the Killruddery House and Gardens overflow car park, next to the farmer’s market location.

The drop-off and pick-up hours are supervised, relaxed times, when the children can play and practice the skills they have learnt. These times are provided for the convenience of busy parents to allow for late arrival.

Activities start at 9.30am, and due to the big variety of activities we do, and the large size of Killruddery grounds, we use many different locations. Arrival after 9.30am could result in your child missing out, as we may have already left the meeting point. This also applies to the Dalkey Quarry meeting point. You can call Chris on 0864506626 to find out where everyone is.

The camp is for ages 8 to 15 years. Teen Week is for 12 to 16 years. Depending on numbers, the children will be split into younger and older groups. Friends or siblings can be put into the same groups if requested. There will be short breaks between activities to eat snacks and freshen up, campers are free to use Killruddery’s toilet facilities. Lunch will be at approx 12.30pm.

The week will give an insight into lots of different kinds of sports and activities, all of which will be instructed by fully insured and qualified PE Teachers, Outdoor Trainers and Climbing Instructors. Certified Climbing Gear is used in all the climbing and abseiling activities, helmets, shoes and harnesses.

What do the kids need to bring…?
