he rain may have been pouring down on Saturday, but the fun definitely came out at Farrankelly Close.
And so did, bejiggers, Minister Simon Harris.
Someone must told him about the free burgers.
Yep, it was a downpour that only hardy souls could handle, and it would appear Farrankelly has got quite a few of those.
With a rodeo bull, a BBQ, music, bouncy castle and water slides, sure, who the heck needs Electric Picnic?
Those present want to thank Ciaran Hayden for the bouncy castle, Declan ‘Rocket 88’ Hogan for the music, White Doodle Face Art for the colourful smiles, and all the many sponsors who made the day possible.
These include – drum roll, please – Nigel Doyle Window Cleaning, Michael O’Rourke Cabs, Cllr Gerry Walsh, Cllr Stephen Stokes, young Harris, John Brady TD, Greystones Municipal District Office, Henry & Rose, Centra Delgany, Centra Eden Gate, Centra Kilcoole, Jokers, Freddie Hamilton, SuperValu Greystones, SuperValu Charlesland, Tesco Greystones, Delgany Mart Store, Gerry Mitchell Butchers and Farrellys Butchers.
And let’s not forget all those from the estate who made donations, and those who donated anonymously. It’s what community is all about…
