he latest Annual Ashford Honey Festival will be taking place this coming weekend, and from what we’ve been told, it’s the bee’s knees.
Or was it the bee’s tummy? Or their legs…?
Whatever it is and however they do it, you’ll be able to witness the wonder of honey in the making, and the taking, and the partaking.
Taking place at the Ashford Heritage Centre, the surrounding grounds will be transformed into a hive of activity by the members of the Ashford & District Beekeepers Association – who will share their knowledge of bees and pollination as you enjoy a fun-filled family day out.
With oodles of honey.
There will be a Beekeepers Hut, for observing firsthand the bees up close, alongside an Education Marquee, for anyone who’s been mitching off school of late. We reckon.
On top of all that, there will be plenty of stalls with organic goodies, such as homemade cakes, produce, plants and bee-friendly products. And to make sure the kids stay happy, there will be face painting, a quiz and some improvised play-acting centred on a bee’s tale. Or is it his tail…?
Running from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 24th, you can find out more about the Ashford & District Beekeepers Association’s annual shindig right about here, or contact them right here.
