Every now and then, we all need a good sandwich and a hot bowl of soup…
And three times a month, you can get your fix whilst doing a whole world of good.
Taking place every first Tuesday of the month in the Presbyterian Hall on Trafalgar Road, every third Tuesday in St Patrick’s Parish Centre where Church Road meets Church Lane, and on the last Wednesday of each month in St Kilian House Centre, tucked in beside the Holy Rosary Church, the Soup & Sandwiches mornings help raise money for worthy charities.
Worthy charities such as the Greystones Cancer Support Group, who received over €1,000 from these fundraiser mornings in 2017.
Sadly, all that money was blown on Kathleen Kelleher’s new outdoor jacuzzi– the last one, bizarrely, couldn’t handle all those champagne bubbles – but, hey, it’s the Christian thought that counts.
Taking place from 12.15pm to 2pm, it’s just €5 for the soup, the sandwich and the good feeling. Do it.
