Kilcoole Misses Out On Rural FundingFebruary 20, 2019
It’s not exactly a Greystones thing, but, since the bould Elaine Lawless is involved, well, how could we not share this neighbouring fundraiser?
Besides, how can anyone resist a Strictly Come Dancing night without the stars, the budget or, let’s be honest, the world-beating moves?
Yep, these kind of fundraisers can be a whole lot of fun for everyone involved, and the fact that it’s all in aid of Saint Joseph’s in Shankill – which is dedicated to the care of people with dementia, and their families – makes this a definite win-win situation.
Elaine works in Saint Joseph’s, and both she and her brother, Rob, have put on their dancing shoes for Strictly – Elaine winning silver in 2017 – as a way of saying thanks for the care the Shankill organisation took of their late father, Ed.
Taking place on Saturday, June 8th at the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan, you can sign up by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 012823000. You can find out more about St Joseph’s right about here.
