As the old showband leaders and the Catholic Church always used to say, ‘Send ’em home sweatin’!’…
And that’s just how it played out last night at the Killiney Castle, as the first-ever Strictly Come Éire Óg brought the boogie, and the foxtrot, and what looked suspiciously like The Mangled Macarena.
Let’s just say, they’ve come a long way, baby, from the weight-in at the Horse & Hound a few weeks back.
In the end, it was the beautiful Holly Archer and the not-quite-so-beautiful Jack Commons who duck-walked away with the prize on the night.
Congrats to everyone taking part, except Jimbob Hogan. He was shite. As usual.
And a big thank you to John McGowan for capturing the magic, the moves and the mayhem of the big night. And you can witness the horror in full right here.
