t’s that time of year again, when the Greystones Sailing Club hope against hope that, hey, this year’s summer might last right up until the end of August.
And that’s because approximately 140 boats are expected to come to town for the annual Taste Of Greystones Regatta on August 27th & 28th.
There will be feeder races finishing from many east coast clubs arriving for the weekend, whilst visitors will have the finest cuisine known to man or beast available to tickle their culinary fancies.
Speaking about the return of the Church Of Sailology’s marquee event of the season, grand wizardDaragh Cafferky said, “We will be giving everybody dinner on Saturday evening after sailing, breakfast on Sunday morning, and we will feed them again after the race on Sunday.”
Eh, good to know. Second only in popularity to the club’s annual Catholics Day, there will also be goody bags containing vouchers from The Beach House and various restaurants and businesses in the town. Because people with yachts need all the financial support they can get.
Sponsored by BJ Marine and with moolah from the Codling Wind Park gang, you can find out more about the regatta here.
