As Trump takes a walk to his nearby St John’s to pose with a bible, an All Eyez On The USA protest is being organised in Greystones for this coming Saturday.

Part of a global day of action and solidarity for black people in America, the protest is being backed by United Against Racism and Movement Of Asylum Seekers In Ireland.

Local organiser Sadhbh O’Connor states, “There are protests being held around Ireland in solidarity with the protestors in the USA, and particularly with the family of George Floyd and all those affected by racial police brutality in the USA. I got in contact with #alleyezonusa movement about initially holding a socially distanced protest in the Burnaby Park. It was later decided, given the huge response, that people protesting outside their own homes would be better…”

Inviting anyone in Greystones and beyond to stand in solidarity at 3pm on Saturday, June 6th, O’Connor states that “it is no longer enough to say we are not racist, we must be anti-racist“.
