iven that it’s been a year lived largely in isolation, it’s natural that quite a few people are feeling more alone than ever before.

Without the usual opportunities to meet up with friends, or just bump into strangers, the fine art of conversation has been missing for many.

Which is why the idea of a chatting bench has begun to catch on around the county.

Trialed by the boys and girls in blue in our neighbouring Bray to great success, now the Greystones garda have decided to give this yakking malarkey a try.

With the most recent outings taking place on opposite St David’s on the seafront, the boys and girls in blue are back in Kilcoole on Monda, August 2nd, at 12pm.
