Bridie Mooney Has PassedSeptember 23, 2020
Up For An Open Water Swimming Challenge?September 23, 2020
When the fine lady down at Susan Collins Home Of Hair got in touch with her idea about paying tribute to Bridie Mooney, our first thought was, feck, yeah.
Just as her funeral is beginning at the Holy Rosary on Friday, let’s have a minute’s silence across the town.
Susan suggested all the shops downing tools for 60 seconds, given that Bridie spent 62 years of her life keeping us all in sweets, cigs and papers down on Trafalgar Road, but we reckon no matter who you are, where you are or what you’re supposed to doing, taking a minute out of your day to honour this beautiful woman shouldn’t be too much of an ask or task.
So, let’s all try and down tools on Friday, September 25th at 1pm, Greystones Mean Time, and just think of Bridie.
And if that isn’t possible, simply raise a glass – or a cuppa – at some point in the day.
It’s what Bridie would have wanted…
In the end, that minute’s silence turned into a spontaneous round of applause. Pics by Pablo Photography.
