atest press release from Bray Area Partnership, issued on Thursday, March 25th 2021…
We all know that walking is good for our physical and mental health and a great way to get out and about in the fresh air within our 5k limit – but it can be difficult to get started and even more difficult to keep going.
If you’d like support to get started with your own walking routine, why not join the new free online Walking Programme being run by Bray Area Partnership’s ASPIRE Social Prescribing team?
The programme starts on 29th March and runs for six weeks, but you can join at any time.
You’ll get all the support you need to get going and keep going with your walking – including a free wrist pedometer at the start of the programme to help you track your progress and keep motivated.
There’s also an online walking group that meets weekly for those who want to connect up with others on the same journey to share tips and encouragement.
The Walking Programme is open to anybody living in Bray, Delgany, Enniskerry, Greystones, Kilcoole, Newtownmountkennedy or Newcastle Lower.
