You only really need look at the fine young Temple Carrig lads above to know that, when it came to the school’s latest stage production last night, they came, they rocked, they conquered.
Yep, School Of Rock fairly rocked, with the full house truly getting into the spirit of the night.
With the show clearly sparking memories of her misspelt yuoth, mother-of-three Caroline Leonard is still missing this morning.
Beyond the groovy cast, we should give a shout-out to the creative crew, Alice O’Neill, Zach Evans, James Clark, Naomi Browner and Arann McCormack, the production team of Peter Wallace, Eoghan Clary, Alanah Bradshaw, Katie Lacey-Curtis, Russell Harris, Philip Kinsella and TY Construction, plus the house band, Alison Halpin, Katie Gibson, Fergal Canterbury, Keith Progue, Niall Dungan and Josh Meakin. Many doubled-up when it came to helping around the house, of course.
Thanks on the night also went to Catherine Young and Cheryl Williams in the office, that Mariah Carey-loving principal, Alan Cox, plus Russell Harris, Philip Kinsella, Sinead Pilkington with costumes, Sharon Battye with make-up, Adelle Adams, Catherine Hickey, all the teachers at TCG, those rowdy parents, the groovy Something Nice for the half-time ice-creams, the board of management and, for helping out at such short notice, the mighty Neville Cox.
Running again tonight, Thursday 8th, we were lucky enough to have John McGowan pop along to catch all the fun, riffs and laughter of opening night. Rock on!
