iven just how popular they’ve been in the past, it’s about frickin’ time that Greystones got its harbour market back.

And thanks to those clever Greystones Tidy Towns chancers, that time is now.

And they’re launching The Plaza Market 2023 in memory of the late, great John Harrington, one of the Tidy Towns crew who is sadly no longer with us.

John was part of both The Boat Yard Market and the Greystones Art & Photography Exhibition and he would no doubt be happy to see this fine summer tradition living on in his name.

Made possible with a little moolah from the harbour’s corporate overlords Sisk, the new market will launch on June 4th and run every Sunday.

And anyone who’d like to have a stall can do so for just €25, the money going to local Tidy Towns projects, whilst the market will also include four free platform areas for local community groups keen to recruit some new volunteers and shake that can.

Running every Sunday from 11am until 5.30pm, last orders will be August 27th. So, make the most of it, people…
