oung Aisling Foran from Wicklow Triple A Alliance has been on the blower, about their upcoming summer of fun.
And generally getting back out there in the big, glad world.
With their Active Kids Thursday Club now taking bookings for a May 6th start, the Greystones gal is also putting the shout-out for new members to this 19-year-old charity that offers support to families and individuals affected by Autism, Asperger syndrome and ADHD.
You can find out about those Active Kids Thursday Club right about here. In the meantime, here’s the shout-out…
Wicklow Triple A Alliance is a registered charity ran by volunteers which was founded in 2012. They organise online support, social events and seminars, and advocacy for families who have a family member on the autism spectrum and co-occurring conditions.
Triple A Chairperson Aisling Foran says: “We are busy planning their schedule of events for summer/autumn 2021. Some activities include weekly Walk & Talk for carers to get out and shoot the breeze while working off some stress levels, Autism 101 seminars for newly diagnosed families to help navigate all things autism, plus a grandparents-specific course.
We are hoping to run two summer camps over 3 weeks this year but we are heavily dependent on funding grants and donations for these activities. More details to follow on our completed calendar in the coming weeks.
If you would like to join up to Wicklow Triple A Alliance membership is just €30 per year per family if in employment and €10 per family per year if not. The membership form is here.
You do not need a formal diagnosis to apply for membership. We can help you with every step of the process.
You can find that application form here, find out more about Wicklow Triple A Alliance here, follow them on Facebook here, Twitter here and Instagram here, or get in touch directly on firstname.lastname@example.org.
