t has become a firm favourite on the golfing circuit, and a wonderful way for friends and family to remember two much-loved and much-missed ladies.
Having now entered its 16th year, The Two Marys Golf Classic took place at the Greystones Golf Club in June.
And the proceeds of that wonderful day have just been presented to Greystones Cancer Support, with an impressive €8,200 having been raised on the day. Which is a new record, beating last year’s €6,100 by a comfortable hole or two.
Set up 16 years ago in memory of Mary Nolan and her daughter, Mary Bradshaw, who tragically passed away within one week of each other, the money raised at the golf classic always goes to Greystones and District Cancer Support. Over €80,000 has been raised since the golf classic started in 2003.
