It’s been a rough year for Luisne ever since their idyllic Kilcoole HQ was put on the market by its owners, the Holy Faith sisters.
Mercifully, and miraculously, the new owners are happy to let Sister Miriam and her gang continue their spiritual and communal workshops and events.
Which is where you come in, hippy. Happening on Wednesday, August 8th and Saturday, August 11th, tutors, teachers and yoga masters are all being beckoned to Luisne, so a plan for the centre’s future can be formulated.
Here’s Patrick with the details…
Since the Holy Faith Convent in Kilcoole was sold last summer Luisne has continued in the Georgian house and grounds on a limited basis thanks to the good will of the new owners. Luisne as an organisation, while incorporating its original ethos, is now expanding its horizons and will operate as a Centre for Well-Being. One change will be that it will governed on more ‘democratic’ principles with greater involvement of the community,
To this end Luisne will meet with as many groups as possible from the feeder areas in planning for its future. These meetings will be lively, entertaining, interactive and creative and will include the offer of tasty, healthy titbits.
On Wednesday, August 8th, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, we’re inviting tutors and all who could use Luisnes for running courses or events.
On Saturday, August 11th, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, participants and all those interested in helping to shape Luisne’s future are most welcome.
The support for Luisne in the past has been heart-warming and greatly appreciated. It is hoped that involvement and ideas generated from tutors, participants, volunteers and donors will continue and grow in the future so that the future will hold truly enriching experiences for all of us.
