nother month, another round-up of crimes and misdemeanors in Greystones and its surrounding towns and villages, for the four weeks ending Sept 11th 2022.

As the bould Maria Curtis says, always please report any suspicious activity to your nearest Garda Station.

And, wherever possible, beat forty shades of shit out of anyone who reckons you’re just an easy mark.

Greystones – Garda Sandra Tierney
Burglary – 3 [a) Bike & saw taken from unlocked shed out the back; inquiries ongoing. b) Female home owner disturbed by a male unknown to her in her hallway. Female shouted and he left the premises. Female then observed the male get in to car next door and called Gardaí. Gardaí to scene as suspect was trying to force front door handle into another neighbour’s house, and restrained and arrested the suspect. Number of members of public provided assistance to Gardaí. No damage caused to houses or vehicles. No items stolen]
Theft from Vehicles – 2 [a) Sunglasses and Apple watch stolen from car left unlocked overnight; inquiries ongoing. b) Female had been to bank and withdrew €12,000 and placed it in her car before going to a shop. On arriving back to car she was met by witness, who informed her car had been broken into and a male left the scene in a white VW golf]
Theft – 2 [a) Two males arrested outside shop following theft of alcohol. Property recovered in resaleable condition. b) One male entered shop and stole a bottle of vodka; inquiries ongoing]

Delgany/Killincarrig/Charlesland – Garda Maria Curtis
Burglary – 1 [Building site storage area for tools had been forced open and large quantity of power tools stolen. Padlocks broken to gain entry. Inquiries ongoing]
Theft from Vehicles – 0
Theft – 2 [a) Two males entered shop, made their way to alcohol section and took 8 cans of alcohol. Two males later arrested and charged. b) Youth stole groceries from shop. Inquiries ongoing]

Theft from Vehicles – 0
Theft – 2 [a) Female stole bottle of vodka from shop; inquiries ongoing. b) Theft worth €701.60 stolen from shop; inquiries ongoing]
