“It’s the place to go if you are looking at your bills and wondering what you can do to bring those costs down.
“Wicklow SEC hosted a similar event last year which was really successful and seeks to build on that success in 2023,” finishes Simon.

Simon Whelan, the Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) mentor for Wicklow says that “this is set to be an incredible event! The Wicklow Energy Awareness Day brings free, quality information to Wicklow residents who want to reduce their energy spend and make their homes and businesses more sustainable.
“It’s the place to go if you are looking at your bills and wondering what you can do to bring those costs down.
These high energy and heating costs coupled with the growing challenge of dealing with Climate Change requires concerted action at national and local levels and Wicklow communities are acting”
The event is organised by volunteers in the Wicklow SECs with the focus on providing the information that an average household will need to take on energy upgrades. People will be able to talk to other Wicklow residents that have already installed energy upgrades like Solar Panels, Heat Pumps and drive Electric Vehicles.
