The local branch of BirdWatch Ireland have just been in touch about their latest campaign to help our feathered friends.
As the appeal goes out nationwide with a fundraising page, there’s also a call for volunteers here in Wicklow, to help spread the good word.
Here’s the lowdown…
BirdWatch Ireland are launching their Farmland Birds Appeal to raise funds so that they can fight on behalf of vulnerable farmland bird species such as Skylark, Corncrake, Curlew, Yellowhammer, Twite, Barn Owl, Whinchat and Lapwing.
But they need help from anyone in Wicklow – especially on the East coast – who can spare an hour or two on either Monday or Tuesday (February 17th and 18th) of next week to assist with packing a mail-shot for the Appeal.
If you are in a position to help, Michelle or Valerie in BirdWatch HQ in Bullford Business Campus, Kilcoole, would love to hear from you.
You can contact them on email@example.com or call 012819878. You can also donate directly to the Save Ireland’s Farm Birds appeal here.
