Formed by a bunch of Greystones geeks who recognise that technology can be used for good as well as Facebook, Wicklow Innovation Meetup want to help you get your head out of your apps.
Here to provide ‘a stimulating forum to engage and connect local thinkers, doers, makers and investors’, whilst also facilitating ‘local collaboration in technology, business and creativity’, the founders welcome anyone who’s into ‘Creativity, Technology and Craic’.
Normally taking place once a month in Greystones Library at 6.45pm – followed by a few scoops in The Burnaby at 8pm – the next big meetup is actually on Sunday, November 24th, from 3pm to 5pm, at the Charlesland Community Centre.
Here’s der spiel…
On Sunday, November 24th, from 3pm to 5pm, we’ll be at the Charlesland Community Centre, for The Repair Party Strikes Back. Then, from 5pm to 6pm, we will switch over to a WIM talk, given by local Deb Davis, entitled Co-housing: Innovative Communities in a Time of Housing Crisis.
Deb Davis is a member of Common Ground Co Housing where she is working with a group of 32 other people to create the first intentional neighbourhood in Ireland. Shifting the paradigm of housing to create truly affordable, carbon negative homes whilst building a community.
