I know a lot of professional pop artists who live healthy lives, and take regular coaching to ensure their voice is looked after and developing.
Just as there’s a generation who believe talent shows such as The Voice UK and The Masked Singer aren’t the real deal, there’s now a wave of social media stars who never even had to go near a TV station. Are you thrilled by this new twist, or are you worried that only the tech-savvy will survive and thrive…?
I don’t, however, think these perceived ‘shortcuts’ are as easy to come by as one might think.

You have quite the CV as a vocal coach – was there a point when you knew this was your career, or did this all just happen…?
done a lot of quite exciting things by the time I started coaching more seriously. Maybe I’d gotten it out of my system! But both of my parents are incredible teachers and I always had passion for doing the same myself.
Yes, there is a lot of change happening in the entertainment industry for sure. I’m lucky enough to get an inside perspective on both the TV world as well as the new wave of DIY music industry stars. Social media has definitely been a game changer for a lot of people. 
Social media is incredibly saturated and it can be really difficult to stand out from the crowd. TV shows are really difficult to get onto and even with millions of viewers on a single episode, it takes hard work, consistency, quality and even a little bit of luck to really make that into something with longevity. It’s difficult to avoid a journey of hard work, even when your moment does come.
