atest press release from Bray For Love, issued on Thursday, October 27th 2022…
Bray for Love and Bray Refugee Solidarity are hosting a Solidarity Dinner this December for the first time in two years.
These annual dinners are a way for people in direct provision and other people living in Ireland can come together and make connections. We want to bring people from the Bray community together with people living in direct provision and Ukrainian refugees in the area for an opportunity to meet over a large dinner.
It’s about building solidarity, community, friendship and respect.
A gofundme fundraiser has been set up to make the dinner possible. Below is what we will need funds for:
• Small gift or gift card for children attending • Transport to and from centres where refugees and asylum seekers are living • Children’s play area equipment, toys, colouring books and pencils, facepaints etc • Other essentials (cutlery, equipments, food and drink)
We are so happy to be able to facilitate this dinner and appreciate your help.
You can donate to the Winter Solidarity Dinner fundraiser by Bray Refugee Solidarity and Bray for Love right here.
