Greystones Freemasons Get FunkyJuly 2, 2018
Those ridiculously groovy and incredibly centred fecks Casey King and Aisling Ryan from Yoga Nest have been in touch once again.
And this time, it’s all about their weekend of workshops and free yoga classes to mark their six-month anniversary.
Nice. Here’s de spiel, baby…
Six months ago, Yoga Nest opened its doors to the communities of North Wicklow. Only minutes from Greystones, the beautifully bright and cosy yoga studio on the main street of Kilcoole is celebrating its six-month anniversary with a weekend of workshops, free taster classes and special offers from the 5th – 7th of October. Students, both old and new, can choose one free taster class a day on both Saturday and Sunday. It is essential that you book your class as soon as possible on www.yoganest.ie to avoid disappointment.
Friday Workshop €30
7.30pm – 9.30pm Restorative Stories €30
After the sell-out session last month, we decided to kick off the weekend’s festivities with another magical two-hour Restorative Stories yoga workshop with live music and poetry. Led by yoga teacher, Aisling Ryan, and musician, Tara Mollan, these two talented women will join forces to create a workshop that will brighten your spirit, relax your body and calm your mind.
Saturday Classes Free
9.30am – 10.30am Advance Your Flow
11am – 12pm Flow Yoga
Advance Your Flow class is designed to teach intermediate students how to move their body into more challenging poses in a safe and effective way.
Flow Yoga is an open-level class for all bodies. This slow moving flow sequence works to generate heat in the body, teaches you how to connect with your core and builds a bridge between the body and mind.
Sunday Classes: Free
9.30am – 10.30am Handstands
11am – 12pm Gentle Restorative Flow
12.30pm – 1.30pm Pregnancy Yoga
Whether you already have your handstand or are practicing Handstands for the very first time, this fun-filled and empowering body movement class is for you. Yoga Nest teachers create an encouraging and safe environment for you to tap into your inner-child and play with a variety of handstand drills before lifting yourself upside-down.
If your priority is to slow down rather than to go upside-down, check out Yoga Nest’s Gentle Restorative Flow class, a perfect combination of gentle movement, resting poses and a deeply relaxing savasana.
Yoga Nest’s final free class of the weekend is for the mammas-to-be. This Pregnancy Yoga taster class is a combination of exercise, breathing techniques and relaxation designed to give the expecting mamma space to rejuvenate, connect with their baby and prepare for labour.
