Your Greystones Week

Despite the fact that most Greystonians are in pyjamas, half-asleep and sipping  devilment by 8pm every night, it would still be fair to say that this is a town that never sleeps.

Something GG has learnt the hard way, having stupidly taken on the task of keeping you lazy, half-drunk, half-assed Greystonians informed of the daily goings-on just outside your doorstep.

With a healthy nocturnal life too, as the old saying goes, there’s something for everyone, from birdwatching to badminton, from the blues to Bach, from booze to Bible studies.

You can catch up with the many goings-on at Luisne here, and with the many, many Greystones Cancer Support activities right here.

There’s also Joe and his alpacas up just outside Newtownmountkennedy, and generally open all year round, or Lalli de Buitlear, and her Old Delgany Burial Ground walks & talks, available on request.

There are also fun and games at the Greystones Film Club, plus, live satellite links with the likes of The Met, The Bolshoi Ballet and The National Theatre at The Whale.

And don’t forget our front-page Events calendar, with a day-by-day, hour-by-hour guide to what’s going on around here.

Just, you know, get out there, and join hands with the living. Computer love – even in 3D – can never reach the heights, or the depths, of the real thing
