As the whole world battens down the hatches, the humble takeaway has become an important source of comfort food for many.
And as each of our groovy restaurants turns their hand to getting their yummy food from their kitchens to your lap, all kind of innovations have been popping up.
The latest of which is zimbly eat, a clever new takeaway initiative that pulls together local kitchens to create a mouth-wateringly wide menu.
Here’s the lowdown on your latest chowdown…
Just in time for autumn evenings in, the new meal delivery service is transforming the takeaway experience in Ireland.
The initial phase of zimbly eat was launched at the weekend, when the virtual kitchen delivery platform went live and food ordering and deliveries began in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Owned by parent company Zimbly Eat Technologies, zimblyeat.com connects zimblyeaters to a new takeaway experience and at-home meal service, while connecting businesses to an additional revenue stream. Local restaurants and commercial kitchens have the opportunity to become fulfilment partners with the platform with their food being sold under the zimbly brands – zimbly Indian, zimbly Asian, zimbly Italian, etc.
This new takeaway food concept is the first of its kind here and, while launching into a competitive takeout market, what sets it apart is weekly changing menus from a diverse range of cuisines cooked in local kitchens delivered straight to your home.
On zimblyeat.com the menus change regularly so the customer experience is always fresh and you opt to purchase zimbly restaurant takeaways to enjoy hot meals at home now or zimbly meals, which are pre-ordered to heat and eat when you need them.
“We wanted to create a completely new experience for customers with zimbly eat and to be the one-stop-shop for everything in terms of food home deliveries,” Co-Founder Andrine Mendez commented.
“As part of the launch, we are delighted to offer a special promotion of €5 off your first order to new customers. Full details for this are on our social media channels.”
