crazy little thing called love, it was inevitable that Dylan E. Crampton would prove a catch on First Dates Ireland.
the 10th series, and they’re now set to make beautiful music together.
And then along came Jules, oozing vintage chic and impressive bangs – if she says so herself – along with her own lucky charm, a little yellow bag. Which she uses for holding 7″ singles.
That the budding lovebirds then discover that they share the same birthday – March 25th, fact fans – seems to ensure that this particular blind date is going to be a surefire success. Especially given that this is also the birthday of the late Aretha Franklin and the getting-late Elton John.
Over dinner, Dylan throws in a few bars of Hey Jude as Hey Jules, revealing that, yep, he was named after Bob Dylan, and that the middle E is a nod to Steve Earle. Jules is more of a Smiths fan, and was actually named after Jools Holland. Perhaps she was born later than expected.
Not that making someone feel your love is all that easy in the modern world, Dylan confessing that the dating game is all a bit confusing these days, especially given that the terms of reference and sexual identities are constantly a-changin’.
