Why don’t we do it on the road…?

few of the more astute GG readers will have noticed that Delgany village has been looking especially shiny and new in recent years.

Despite the constant presence of building site dust.

To no one’s big surprise, many, many Delganarians (or is it Delganoes?) heed the regular Delgany Tidy Towns call, with just about every nook and granny getting the deep clean treatment.

Of late, they’ve been getting 50 residents turning up for their big clean-up weekenders, with many bringing along their kids – to show them the importance of leaving no crap behind. To quote Mahatma Ghandi. 

It helps, of course, when everyone looks after their own purple patch, with the likes of Delgany Wood also heeding the call for a bit of outdoor TLC during this fine April weather.  

And even if you can just spare one hour, BOOM! Every Lidl helps.

So, that’s Saturday, April 12th and Sunday 13th, 10am to 1pm, meeting each day at the old burial ground gates.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear gloves, and bring their own tools if possible, as supplies be limited on the day. And you can just turn up, or register here.
