As it happened, with The Whale’s afternoon screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas and a constant stream of hungry Trick Or Treaters, we’ve had to rely on the kindness of some very strange strangers.

And so it is that we’ve pulled together an initial collection of fine, freaky costumes and carnivorous carvings from Halloween 2018, including Kilcoole Thift Shop’s Employee Of The Month [above], Anne Hertz [right] and her little helper [above left], plus Sarah Watchhorn’s way with a knife [left].
