I can’t be entirely sure, but I could swear I heard Max mutter, “Jaysus, the heat!”, as we strolled down to the seafront today.
This was certainly one very happy hot dog once we hit those waves though – as soon we’d managed to make our way through the throng, that is.
Despite some tut-tutting from a pair ol’ biddies who weren’t too happy to see Max in the water – he gave them a quirky wink, the scamp – it was all smiles down on the South Beach. And sure, with reportedly the hottest day of the year so far reminding us just how darn lucky we are living in such a beautiful seaside town, how could you not be smiling today.
Well, you could be grumpy about dogs, of course, but those kind of people are never happy.
On along the coastline to the cove, and the new diving spot for all the kids and the young at heart. You soon realised that, when it comes to that summer sun beating down, there are truly 50 shades of Greystones, everything from golden brown to Redford redneck on display.
Sure, that sun was proving so relentless, two poor girls at The Cove had to resort to burying their heads under blankets just so they could use their phones.
The good weather is supposed to last, so, get out there, and recharge those Vitamin D batteries.
You’re going to need to store up as much sunshine energy as you can – so you can have a good ol’ moan about the shocking weather pelting down upon us for the rest of the year…
