The Nest School Takes Flight

ituated up in sunny Blacklion, The Nest School is Lynda Browne’s dream pre-school come to life.

Which may explain why this Coolagad hideaway is so popular, with a new class just added.

Primarily aimed at children from 3 to 5, this new afternoon class is also open to kids as young as 2½.

Here’s the lowdown…

Due to high demand for places, The Nest School in Blacklion Greystones, are thrilled to be opening a new afternoon 3hr session. This session will run from 2pm to 5pm, five days a week during term time, commencing September 2024.

The Nest School first opened its doors in September 2020 and has now become an established and well regarded pre-school in the Greystones community.

Our existing, wonderful, degree holder staff will run this new afternoon session and look forward to building a strong relationship with your child. Our dedicated and consistent team take pride in offering the children in our care a stimulating and varied environment that is fun and engaging!

The Nest School is located in a beautiful, modern, purpose-built premises within the Waverly development. It is a much-loved preschool which is heavily invested in – with an abundance of top-quality materials, toys and curriculum aids. We value progressive thinking and aim to apply best practice from various preschool methodologies. The afternoon session will focus on playful and outdoor learning, boasting free flow access between both indoor and outdoor spaces.

This afternoon session is available for both ECCE eligible children and also children who are 2½ years old by September. For children who are eligible for the ECCE subsidy this session will be completely free of charge. If your child has a birthday in January or February 2022 and has narrowly missed out on the ECCE subsidy for 2024 they are still welcome but this will incur a private average fee of approximately €220 per month (after universal government subsidies).
