Brendan Murphy of Seacourt, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow, formerly Ayrfield, Dublin and Macroom, Co. Cork. June 9th 2026 peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by his devoted family. Pre-deceased by his brother John. Remembered with love by his beloved wife Bridie (née Quirke), children Barry, Owen, Ailís, Deirdre and Eamonn, brothers Fr Philip, Raymond and Barry, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law Corina, Áine, Kevin and Andrè, his adored grandchildren Shannon, Maeve, Ciara, Aoife, Thomas, Patrick, Daisy, Sam, Feidhlim and Ailbhe, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sheila, Elaine, Patrick, Marian, Eugene and Christina, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Reposing at Mark Kinsella’s funeral home Newtown (A63X456) on Friday evening (June 12th) from 4pm until 6pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning (June 13th) at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church Kilquade (A63TF61) after which Brendan will be laid to rest in Priest Newtown Cemetery, Kilquade. May he rest in peace.
