This story came to us ridiculously late, but, hey, we still managed to get down to Greystones seafront to see a truly wonderful sight.
And it was a sight that had many people aghast as they took their Sunday evening stroll.
Again and again, as they passed by with their dogs, their kids and their jaws dropping, each one said pretty much the same thing. “I really didn’t think there were that many Greystones wedding belles left who could wear white.”
Still, it was all for a good cause, the money raised on the day going towards the Irish Cancer Society.
And, thankfully, Fr McBride came all the way up from Leitrim, to make sure the whole thing was done with respect and dignity. And holy water.
So, well done to everyone involved. And if you’re still there in the morning, the Happy Pear twins have said they’ll bring porridge. And hugs.
