Putting On The Glitz For Tiglin

There’s so much to love about Greystones’ upcoming Evening Of Glitz & Glamour on Friday, September 15th, it’s hard to know where to start.

Naturally, the most important part of the night is the simple fact that it’s all in aid of the mighty Tiglin, the wonderful Wicklow charity doing wonders in Carraig Eden and elsewhere as they help those struggling with addictions to get out from between a rock and a hard place.

There’s also the fact that there will be 17 collections working the catwalk that night, with top Irish designers rubbing shoulders with Greystones’ finest boutiques.
Then there’s the simple fact that the internationally-acclaimed, chart-topping Luan Parle will be headlining a night of entertainment that also boasts up-and-coming rockers Taken – not to be confused with our local Stepping Stones winners – and 98FM DJ Steven Cooper, plus a very special surprise guest.
And let’s not forget the goodie bags. With the standard €40 ticket, it’s a Guinot Salon goody bag worth €55; with the €75 VIP ticket, it’s goody bags from The Guinot Salon and Brooke & Shoals.
What really rocks GG’s world about this all-star, top-of-the-range, kick-ass night though is the presence of the one true King, Mr Elvis Aaron Presley. Or, to be more precise, his current representative down here in Éire, the great Steven Hegarty.
Yep, Friday, September 15th is going to be one hell of a night. And the icing on the cake is that it’s all going to take place in Greystones’ shiny new theatre – more of which, soon, my friends

In the meantime, we caught up with one of the main organisers, Newcastle’s groovy Yvonne Hyland, to get the lowdown on this mighty showdown. With limited seating on the night, it might be smart to head over to Eventbrite and book your tickets right about now. If not sooner.
