The Spanish Ambassador to Ireland Teresa Lizaranzu hosted the official launch of Purple House Madrid to Bilbao Cycle in the Embassy of Spain on Monday, alongside Irish international cyclist Nicholas Roche and the team from Purple House.

At the launch, Nicholas Roche spoke about how his brother Florian’s cancer impacted him and his whole family, highlighting the importance of the services that Purple House provides.

Following the launch, the Ambassador travelled to Purple House on Friday to see first hand the programmes and services that Purple House provides to cancer patients and their families.

Purple House is calling on cyclists of all abilities to take on the challenge of cycling from Madrid to Bilbao from the 7th to 13th June alongside Nicholas Roche and help to provide counselling sessions for children and young people living with cancer. Sign up here.
