Greystones Sports Park came alive today as the sponsored MOVE to raise funds for a St Catherine’s Special School bus got underway.
St. Catherine’s Special School’s ethos is to create an educational
environment which removes barriers to learning and cultivates a learning world conducive to supporting each of our 93 pupils to reach their full potential.
Today’s MOVE was a reflection of this ethos.
More than 200 people congregated in Greystones Sports Park – 16 classes of staff and pupils plus parents, bus drivers, bus escorts, nurses, members of our Board of Management members of the Sugarloaf Lions and Centra Kilcoole.
And the whole gang walked, or cycled, or wheeled, rolled or strolled around the Shoreline track for this sponsored MOVE.
A whole school and wider community event with a shared vision of focusing on what our pupils can do.
A day to be celebrated, where more than 120kms were clocked.
Founded in 1970, St Catherine’s Special School is for pupils who have moderate, severe or profound learning abilities.
