The Future Is Blight. Again.

Happens to the best of us…

t’s the warning that lets farmers and gardeners know that the incoming weather is geared towards the development and rapid spread of plant diseases.

Met Éireann have issued another yellow warning for blight, and it runs from Thursday, July 2nd at 1pm to Wednesday 8th at 4pm.

There’s also a yellow advisory running from the 8th, at 12am, to Tuesday 14th, again at 12am.

Still, Met do say this blight warning is mainly about our beloved potato, the humidity in the air just a little too humid of late.

Which makes a change from our usual blinky washing machine weather, one minute rinse, one minute spin dry, the next a wool wash.

And each rapid change comes without warning, or logic.
