rom the moment they first met at a Pilates studio over 10 years ago, Caoimhe Holfeld and Aoife Niall knew they were going to get along.

And it didn’t take long before they also realised that they would some day open their own Pilates studio.

Sure, it was destiny.

“I know that sounds really silly, but I think you’re right,” Caoimhe smiles when we caught up this morning at, yep, the duo’s own studio. “It’s not like we made a plan right there at the start – it’s just something that we both knew instinctively would happen one day…”

Adds Aoife, “All we needed was a space that we both loved, and the rest would be just paperwork. We knew that we both had a real passion for teaching Pilates, and we knew that we had a certain chemistry that brought out the best in each of us. So, yeah, it must have been destiny – and more than a little determination – that led us here…”

Here being Pulse Pilates over in sunny Kilcoole, Aoife and Caoimhe setting up their dream studio just beside Rachael Dandy’s Eden Gifts and just down from Philip and Sophia’s Village Market in that swanky new main street building, The Brook.

With both mat and Reformer classes available when it comes to Joseph Pilates’ ground-breaking mind-body exercises, the ductile duo also offer personal training sessions. Open Monday to Saturday, you can find out more about Pulse Pilates classes right here.
