Greystones Bowling Club had the unfurling of their flags on Saturday, March 26th, by President Fergus O’Brien, Men’s Captain Sean O’Brien and Ladies Captain, Sally Ryan.

This marks the start of the 2026 season.

Greystones Bowling Club will hold their annual open days on Sunday 3rd and Sunday 10th May from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm each day. Everyone is welcome to come along and give bowling a try.

There will be coaches available to give you basic instructions. There will also be an opportunity to chat to the members about the club and its activities over a cup of tea. You should wear flat shoes and comfortable clothing.

Bowling is a sport for all, so you don’t have to have played another sport to enjoy it. The club does play in the Irish Lawn Bowls leagues, but there is still a place for people who don’t particularly want to compete and who just want to spend some time in a very peaceful setting. The club organise roll- ups during the week for everyone or, if you prefer you can bowl on your own or with a friend, there is plenty of room for everyone. It is a very vibrant and fun club to be a member of in a very nice location overlooking the sea.

Again, the club will be having their Open Days on Sundays May 3rd and 10th from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm each day.

This is a great sport for all ages and suits people who may never have played sports before.
