County Wicklow will benefit from two new primary special education classes at Greystones Educate Together National School in Greystones and St Saviour’s National School in Rathdrum.
Speaking today, Simon Harris said: “I am delighted to welcome the news that two more Wicklow schools : Greystones Educate Together National School and St Saviour’s National School in Rathdrum have been sanctioned for new special classes for the 2026/2027 school year.

With today’s announcement, we have now secured thirteen new special classes for County Wicklow for the coming school year, which is a real step forward for families of children with additional needs right across the county. We are making sure that children can access the support they need in their own communities.
“Ensuring that every child in this country has the opportunity to reach their full potential remains my number one priority in Government. These new classes will help ensure that students with special needs receive the tailored education they deserve.
“I want to thank Minister Hildegarde Naughton for her continued commitment to expanding special education provision and for delivering again for Wicklow families in this latest tranche.
