Kilcoole Main Street Development Rejected

The plan for a 267-unit development on Kilcoole’s main street has been rejected by An Bord Pleanala.

Among other concerns, local residents and politicians had expressed concern about the impact of having the entrance to such a large development just beside the Molly Malone.

The reason for the development’s rejection was the sewerage facilities not being able to handle such a large number of new dwellings, plus, 12 houses were to be built on land zoned Open Space.

All of which means it may be just a simple case of the Bullford developers going back to the drawing board for a quick shuffle of the deck.
