The third Colin O’Mahony Golf Memorial took place in glorious sunshine at the magnificent Delgany Golf Club on Thursday, June 25th 2026.
Provided with goody bags from Centra Eden Gate, 19 teams teed off for a shotgun
scramble at 1.30pm, with provided extra hydration stops along the way – including on the 9th hole, where the golfers stopped to raise a toast to Colin.
The beer was generously donated by Rí-Rá Brewing Company in Kilcoole.
Lots of celebrations on the course as Alan McDonald from the Temple Carrig Team got a hole in one! He was presented with an overnight stay in the Iveagh Gardens Hotel, provided by Derek Doherty.
A further 43 guests joined the golfers for dinner, with the main raffle, a table raffle and lots of golf prizes taking place. So, nearly everyone got something!

The golf prizes were sponsored by Bray Tile and Bathroom Centre.
First prize and deserved winners of the Colin O’Mahony Cup was the team of teachers from Temple Carrig Greystones (John O’Brien, Robert Delaney, Jack Commons and Alan McDonald). All of Colin’s daughters are former or current pupils of the school.
