Powerscourt Hotel Cancels Thiel’s Dialog Conference

ith public protests planned before the mid-August conference of Peter Thiel’s notoriously secret Dialog group, The Powerscourt Estate have followed through on their desire to have the event cancelled.

Just a day after North Wicklow Against Genocide announced their plans for more protests outside The Powerscourt Hotel on July 12th and August 9th, their call for the meeting not to go ahead has come true.

A call shared by many in Ireland.

Issued on Friday, July 3rd, The Powerscourt Estate issued the following short media statement…

Following a period of great concern for Powerscourt Estate and on foot of discussions with The Powerscourt Hotel, we are relieved and pleased to announce the Dialog event planned for August at the Powerscourt Hotel has been cancelled.

Powerscourt Estate wish to thank all of those who supported us through this difficult and challenging time. Including our staff, neighbours, friends, supporters and legal team.

The Powerscourt Hotel is run by the MHL Hotel Collection, who are tenants of the estate.
