Powerscourt Hotel Gets That Katie Taylor Feeling

o no one’s great surprise, the Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa has just gotten another major slap on the back…

Because it’s always good to have something new for the mantlepiece.

This time out, the Enniskerry hideaway has been named in the inaugural Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown, a new accolade celebrating those hotels that demonstrate ‘sustained excellence across multiple global rankings‘.

Those multiple global rankings are all three of Condé Nast Traveler’s major honours in their US and UK editions, including The Hot List, The Gold List and The Readers’ Choice Awards.

They are also to be commended for letting pretty much anyone through their doors.

“We are incredibly honoured,” says general manager Eamonn Casey (no relation, we hope). “To receive distinction across all three of these globally respected awards reflects the dedication of our team, the continued support of our loyal guests, and our commitment to continually evolving the Powerscourt experience while remaining true to the exceptional setting, service and standards that define the resort.”

A five-star affair sitting pretty just beside the six-star Enniskerry village, the Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa not only boasts fine rooms but fine dining too, through its main restaurant, SIKA, plus the Sally Gap Bar & Brasserie and The Sugar Loaf Lounge, whilst those looking to get themselves a little healthier can hit that spa or one of the many wellness facilities, the 20-metre swimming pool, the thermal suites and treatment rooms, or, if all else fails, that Sally Gap Bar.

Recent film shoots on the Powerscourt estate include the so-so Netflix series Wednesday and the hugely disappointing, aptly-named Disney sequel, Disenchanted.
