The Future Is Blight. Again.

t’s the warning that lets farmers and gardeners know that the incoming weather is geared towards the development and rapid spread of plant diseases.

Met Éireann have issued another yellow warning for blight, and it runs from Tuesday, June 9th to Saturday 13th at 12am.

It’s the sort of warning that also means BBQs are less likely to bloom around here for the time being.

Still, Met do say this blight warning is mainly about our beloved potato, the damp in the ground just a little too damp of late. Not helped by the fact that our weather is so dang unpredictable.

One minute rinse, one minute spin dry, the next a wool wash.

And each rapid change comes without warning, or logic.
