Dogs big and small will be gladdened by the news today that a Wicklow judge has come down hard on an asshole dog owner in the area.

The rescued Hulk
The result of an arrest made in May 2015, today the dog owner in question was prosecuted for animal abandonment and neglect.
The judge in the case handed down a sentence of 10 years disqualification of animal ownership and a €600 fine.
Back in May 2015, acting on a call from Wicklow Gardaí, the local SPCA called to a Wicklow property, where they found one dead dog and a second dog in poor health.
Today, the Wicklow Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals extended their thanks to Wicklow Gardaí for their full support in the case, whilst the rescued dog, Hulk, will be available to say hello to a new home this Sunday, June 19th, at the WSPCA Open Day, being held at their Sharpeshill Animal Sanctuary, Ballygannon Mór, Rathdrum.
