t’s somewhat inevitable that as the years go by, the thrill can begin to
wane when it comes to the Guide’s top-of-the-range, show-em-some-love town competitions.
Whereas our pooch, baby and photography contests can attract hundreds of votes and buckets of entries, others such as this month’s Top Of The Shops or our Local Hero don’t always feel the love these days.
The one that always gets people’s doughjo rising though is our annual Perfect Greystones Pizza, despite the fact that the final week or so tends to be a one-horse race.
For 2026, it was a little different though, with Enso getting some stiff competition from Brew With A View, the latter boasting the kind of rabid and fairly rapid following that Kim Jong-un would be proud to call his minions.
